Earlier this month I was invited along to the launch event for L.K. Bennett’s new Rosamund Pike bag collection at Fenwick.
Lots of blogger types and media folk were in attendance, getting up close and personal with the new collection while indulging in pink lemonade and macaroons.
The capsule collection was created over a six-month period, with the bags – Rosie, Rosamund and Rosa – drawing on the actress’ love for classic British films. (If you’re still trying to pinpoint where you’ve seen her on the silver screen, give Die Another Day, Made in Dagenham and An Education a peek).
The attention to detail is what sets these bags apart from your average arm candy. Suede-like lining and brushed matt gold ooze luxury.
I found the safety-pin style zip, inspired by Rosamund’s very own ear-rings, particularly endearing.
The bags come in three different sizes and six colours. The tangerine orange proved popular at the launch event, but my favourite is white, the perfect accessory to any colourful ensemble.
The bags definitely fall into the ‘splurge’ category, with prices starting from £350.
Head on over to Fenwick in Eldon Square to see the collection first-hand.
